the Roxanne convex mirror

In Mirrors by Mark Evans

The Roxanne convex mirror is all about the combination of gold and crystal. The frame is gilded with gold and silver metal leaf. The deep interior of the frame is covered with clear Venetian glass rods. The gold exterior of the frame is studded with two layers of rock crystal quartz points.

The Roxanne convex mirror is about 18 inches in diameter and 3.5 inches deep.

It is being shipped to my NYC venue, KRB. Call 212-288-2221 for more information.

The name Roxanne is Persian in origin meaning bright, shining, radiant or dawn.

Pioneer Dawn by Rockwell Kent, 1919

Roxana was the Persian wife of Alexander the Great. The marriage was a political maneuver by Alexander to appease the different factions of his empire.

Roxanne is the heroine of the classic French play by Edmond Rostand, Cyrano de Bergerac, written in 1897. The play is a bittersweet story of unrequited love. It has been filmed several times but my favorite is the Steve Martin version made in 1987.
