The Rhodanthe convex mirror is built on a silver metal gilded wood frame. I banded the frame with clear and pale pink Venetian glass rods. The perimeter of the frame is spiked with rose quartz spheres and rock crystal points.
The Rhodanthe convex mirror is about 12″ in diameter. It is being shipped to my NYC venue, KRB. Please call 212-288-2221 for more information.

The myth of Rhodanthe is that a queen of Corinth of the same name was so beautiful that no man who met her could not resist falling in love with her. Wishing to escape her smitten suiters she fled to a temple of Diana where she took refuge. Three of her boldest suitors followed her into the temple and dazzled by her beauty declared that the temple should be rededicated to her and not the goddess Diana. They were about to push over the statue of Diana when the god Apollo intervened and, angered by the insult to his goddess twin sister, metamorphosed all four individuals. The three men became a worm, a fly and a butterfly. Rhodanthe was transformed into a rose.
Well the suitors probably deserved it but poor Rhodanthe got a bad deal. But at least she will always be associated with pink roses!
