In Mirrors by Mark Evans

The Revere convex mirror is all about silver and crystal. The frame is finished with silver metal gilding and the inner recess is embellished with Venetian glass and round crystal spheres. A halo of rock crystal quartz points complete the composition.

The Revere mirror is about 13 inches in diameter. It is being hsipped to my NYC venue, KRB. Call 212-288-2221 for more information.

A portrait of Paul Revere by Copley circa 1770

The Revere convex mirror is named for the renown American patriot, Paul Revere( 1734-1818). Revere is most known as the person who engaged in the “Midnight Ride” who alerted the revolutionary militia in 1775 of the approach of British soldiers prior to the battles of Lexington and Concord.

Revere was more than a military officer or industrialist. He was a famous silversmith! The elegance of his silver objects are of such accomplishment that some are housed in museums.

One of Revere’s tea urns in the Metropolitan Museum in NYC.
