the Oliver II convex mirror

The Oliver II is a commission for a variation on my Oliver convex mirror. This one is essentially the same. The main feature are the gorgeous rock crystal quartz spheres. The wood frame was gilded with gold metal leaf and the inner frame is embellished with clear Venetian glass rods.

I don’t normally make copies of mirrors my older mirrors. Finding materials that are exactly the same can be very difficult. But creating a variation of an older design can be fun and result in something unique.

The Oliver II convex mirror is a little over 13 inches in diameter. It was commissioned by my Carmel venue, Cayen Home.
