the Radames convex mirror

The Radames convex mirror features a sunburst of golden, striated calcite crystals. The translucent layers of gold, ochre, white, cognac and bronze colors of the calcite are echoed in the thick rim of transparent yellow topaz Venetian glass rods.

The Radames convex mirror is about 19 inches in diameter. It will be shipped to my Atlanta showroom, Ainsworth-Noah. Call 404-231-8787 for more information.

A poster for a performance of Aida in Cleveland, Ohio in 1908

Radames is the name of one of the three leads in Verdi’s grand opera, Aida( 1871). The opera takes place in ancient Egypt. He is a commander of the Egyptian army and is in love with an Ethiopian slave, Aida( who is actually a princess!). Aida loves Radames but the Egyptian princess, Amneris, is also in love with Radames. Much spectacle and tragedy ensue!
