The Khrusos convex mirror is all about the combination of gold and crystal. The heavy wood frame was gilded with gold metal leaf and encrusted with transparent Venetian glass rods and spheres. Large rock crystal quartz points create a halo around the frame.
The Khrusos convex mirror is a little more than 19 inches in diameter. It hangs in my studio pending being shipped to one of my showrooms.

Khrusos is a minor god( or “daimon”) in Greek mythology. He is the personification of gold, wealth and prosperity. Gold was believed to carry a divine essence, and Khrusos represented its untainted, incorruptible nature. Unlike mortal riches, which could be fleeting, Khrusos stood for the eternal and untarnishable value of gold.
He was prayed to in order to fulfill the worshiper’s desire for wealth. As the embodiment of gold, Khrusos symbolized not just material wealth but also divine radiance and immortality—qualities that made gold sacred in religious and cultural contexts.
