the Casseopeia II convex mirror

In Mirrors by Mark Evans

The Casseopeia II convex mirror is an update of my original Casseopeia mirror. The starburst frame is gilded with gold metal leaf. The spokes of the frame are layered with clear Venetian glass rods. Surrounding the mirror is a halo of rock crystal quarts points/obelisks.

The Casseopeia II convex mirror is about 16 inches in diameter. It is currently on hold for a private client.

Casseopeia was a queen in ancient Greek mythology. She was known for her pride and vanity. She was so extreme that she claimed to be more beautiful than the gods. Her haughty stupidity resulted in her being punished by the god Poseidon. She was transformed into a constellation where she is depicted bound to her throne. Half of the year she hangs upside down as punishment for her hubris.
