the Archduchess Convex Mirror

In All, Mirrors by Mark Evans

Archduchess convex mirror

The Archduchess convex mirror is a small but potent example of what I do.  The classic sunburst frame was gilded then layered with yellow, amber and gold Venetian glass rods.  The tips of each ray has a quartz crystal sphere that has had the back half gold-leafed, giving each one a concave depth.

This mirror is about 10.75 inches in diameter.  It is currently in my studio waiting to be shipped to one of my showrooms.  If you are interested contact me directly.

Duchesses Coronation Ball

A dazzling assortment of duchesses and princesses at the 1896 coronation of Czar Nicholas II.  Any of these ladies would be thrilled to have the Archduchess convex mirror.  Looking at some of the jewels they’re wearing most of them could wear it!
