The Renata convex mirror is named after the lead character in Prokofiev’s opera The Fiery Angel written between 1919 and 1927.  Renata is a girl who falls in love with an angel and asks for a physical relationship with him( angels are supposed to have no gender!).  This request infuriates the angel but he promises to return in human form.  Supernatural shenanigans, insanity, lust and murder ensue.  This is a red opera.
