the Spectrum II Convex Mirror

In All, Mirrors by Mark Evans

The Spectrum II convex mirror is composed of a black lacquered and silver leafed frame that is studded with hundreds of cast resin jewels in a rainbow of colors.  All the jewels were made by me.

This one is a real dazzler.

This mirror is about 20 inches in diameter.    It is currently in my studio pending being shipped to one of my showrooms.

The visible spectrum is the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum that is visible to the human eye. Electromagnetic radiation in this range of wavelengths is called visible light or simply light. A typical human eye will respond to wavelengths from about 390 to 700 nanometers

One of my favorite paintings,Rainy Season in the Tropics by Frederic Edwin Church painted in 1866.

The Rainbow Chromatic Gate by Herbert Bayer, created in 1991.  It is in Santa Barbara, California.
