The Sonata II convex mirror features a steeply raked, deep frame that I gilded with gold metal leaf. The inside surface is embellished with a mosaic of glass cabochons, Venetian glass rods and glass spheres. They are reflected in a half sphere convex mirror that doubles their effect. The outside perimeter of the frame has rock crystal points and spheres topped with citrines.

This mirror reminds me of the complexity and richness of Gustav Klimt’s paintings. Specially their abstracted backgrounds.
