The Ice Storm convex mirror bristles with more than forty quartz crystal points. The frame is black and silver metal leaf with Venetian glass rods and quartz spheres completing the look.

Ice storms are winter storms where rain freezes, encasing everything in a glassy coating of ice. The effect can be devastatingly harmful and dangerous( broken branches, snapped power lines). But also very beautiful and transporting.
The Ice Storm is also the name of a movie from 1997 directed by Ang Lee. It stars Kevin Kline, Joan Allen, Sigourny Weaver, Christina Ricci and Toby Maguire. It revolves around the how two families deal with the social upheaval of the 70’s by means of alcohol, sexual experimentation and adultery. Of course an ice storm is featured and serves as a metaphor for the frozen disfunction of the characters.
