Jewelry for Walls!

The Gilda convex mirror is named for the stunningly naive heroine of Giuseppe Verdi’s opera Rigoletto( 1851). The plot revolves around a lusty depraved duke, a bitter court jester and his daughter, Gilda, who is hidden away from the world to avoid the licentiousness of the world outside. Seduction, rape, curses and cross dressing are involved. But the music is sublime!

Three costumes for Gilda in the opera from an early production. Note the cross dressing ensemble.
