The Olympia convex mirror is a multi-leveled design that combines layers of clear and gray Venetian glass with polished quartz crystal points. Hundreds of glass rods in three sizes hold the quartz points so that they float above the frame. The gold of the underlying frame flickers through the glass creating depth and richness.
The Olympia convex mirror measures 16 inches in diameter. The mirror is hanging in my studio pending being shipped to one of my showrooms. While in my studio it is for sale directly through me.
The Olympia convex mirror is named for the original ancient location of the Olympics in Greece. Originally an area sacred to the gods, Olympia expanded to accommodate the Games. Olympia is the location of the Temple of Zeus, one of the “wonders of the ancient world”. The temple house a mammoth statue of Zeus made of ivory and gold sculpted by the legendary Phidias.

Of course, there’s always the mother of Alexander the Great, Olympias. A schemer, priestess and the mother from hell….
