the Murano Convex Mirror

In All, Mirrors by Arif

The Murano convex mirror is my tribute to the glassworkers who toil on the island of Murano to supply me with all the glass rods I use in my mirrors.  Four shades of glass compose this mirror creating an ombré from light to dark.  I added glass and crystal spheres to soften the linear rigidity of the rods.

The “mirror” at the center is actually a mirror covered with a large glass lens.  The proverbial “mirror with no reflection”.

The Murano convex mirror is around 23 inches in diameter.
