The Susannah convex mirror is comprised of a a scalloped frame that I gilded then filled with pale bronze and amber colored Venetian glass. Small citrine beads surround the mirror glass.
Hidden in the folds of the frame are tiny bronze rhinestones and smokey quartz spheres.
This mirror is about 8 inches in diameter. It resides in my studio till being shipped to one of my showrooms.

The Susannah convex mirror is named for the character in Mozart’s opera Le nozze di Figaro. She is a servant but is one of the most intelligent, strong women in all opera. She has a keen insight into human nature and a kind heart.
The plot of the opera pivots on Susannah’s impending marriage to Figaro( also a servant) and how her employer, the Count Almaviva, intends to bed her before her marriage due to his “privilege” of droit du seigneur.
