the Coronation convex mirror

In All, Mirrors by Mark Evans

The Coronation convex mirror is composed of a star shaped gilded frame, Venetian glass rods in a variety of gold colors and citrine crystal points arrayed as a “crown”. The citrine points are attached at an angle that create a burst like fireworks at the center.

The Coronation convex mirror is about 23 inches in diameter. It is being delivered to my Los Angeles showroom, Jasper. For more information call 323-419-3137.

A portrait of Elizabeth I by an unknown artist. 1600

The Coronation convex mirror is named for the act of placement or bestowal of a crown upon a monarch’s head. The term also generally refers not only to the physical crowning but to the whole ceremony wherein the act of crowning occurs, along with the presentation of other items of regalia, marking the formal investiture of a monarch with regal power. I guess the rare phenomenon of a coronation is in the air right now!
