the Queen of the Night II Convex Mirror

In All, Mirrors by Mark Evans

The Queen of the Night II convex mirror was inspired the Queen of the Night character in Mozart’s opera The Magic Flue..  Layers of transparent black, gray and clear Venetian glass are attached to a wood, silver gilded frame.  Large cabochons of antiqued resin circle the frame like planets. The frame shimmers and shifts from silver to black as you pass it.  Like shadows on a moonlit night.

The Queen of the Night mirror is 24 inches in diameter and is in the Hewn showroom in San Francisco.
