the Iceberg Convex Mirror

In All, Mirrors by Mark Evans

The Iceberg convex mirror is composed of a silver leafed frame that has a corona of layered clear Venetian rods making a sunburst around the mirror.  Small lucite spheres are attached to the edge.  Real quartz crystal spears surround the frame.

This mirror is about 17 inches in diameter.    It is currently in my Atlanta showroom, Ainsworth-Noah.  Call Dennis Hunt at 404-240-2137 for more information.

The Iceberg mirror is the latest of a long line of objects that I have made using optics, glass and ice.  The most famous iceberg took down the Titanic.  The most beautiful painting of an Iceberg was done by Frederic Edwin Church( 1826-1900) in 1861.  Its name is, ironically enough, The Icebergs.
