Jewelry for walls!

Emeralds are my favorite gemstone.  I have a wonderful emerald cabochon ring but I don’t wear it very often because the stone is soft and liable to crack if I don’t behave myself.

When I was at the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show I found a seller of beads that had a heap of the most vivid green glass chunks ready for stringing.  I bought hand fulls because they looked just like emeralds.  I rarely use green in my work because its a color that doesn’t sell very well( I know!).  So this mirror is for me.  But if you are interested contact me.

You can find all about emeralds at:

One of my favorite scenes in the movie Gigi( 1958) is the “jewelry lesson” scene where the adolescent Gigi is taught about jewels by her aunt, a former courtesan.  This is one of the most gently brittle comic performances and is played by the great Isabel Jeans.
