Night and Day
$ 2,000.00
Night and Day is a lenticular flip that refers to the passing of time. The girl is a detail of a portrait by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres named Madamoiselle Caroline Riviére created in 1806. Riviére was described by Ingres as “ravishing”. She was around 15 years old and shows all the innocent wariness of her age. She died tragically a year after the portrait was completed.
